File instructions

Please set up your files to be sized as they will be printed and saved as a PDF, 300 resolution, CMYK if color.

Do not lay out your pages in spreads. Each page should be individual. All pages need to be in order, in one PDF file.

  • Page 1 = Outside Front Cover

  • Page 2 = Inside Front Cover

  • Continue with the regular page order for the subsequent inside pages.

  • Second to Last Page = Inside Back Cover

  • Last Page = Outside Back Cover

Full Bleed: Please include crop marks and bleed of 0.125" to 0.25” on each side to avoid hairline white edges when trimming.

Safe Area: Please make sure that important text or graphics are placed inside of a safe are between 0.125” to 0.25” subtracted from the trim size.

Creep: Because booklets are folded, the center page of thicker booklets will be dramatically smaller on the wide edge when trimmed.

If your booklet is not full bleed, the canvas size per page should be;

5" x 8" for 8.5" x 11" folded to 5.5" x 8.5".
8" x 10.5" for 11" x 17" folded to 8.5" x 11".
